Charlotte Petrova?

I’m confused. Why are so many people upset that the doppelganger’s name is Tatia instead of Charlotte? Did someone say it was going to be Charlotte and changed it or something?

In an interview Julie Plec said the name ‘Charlotte’ for the original Petrova. But then in the show it changed to Tatia. Charlotte isn’t something fandom created.
